  • Mobile Application and Full Program Details Coming Soon

You might not know that, due to our IBS Sustainability Task Force's partnership with the COEX Magok LeWest, steps have been taken to limit energy, single-use plastics and paper use while in Seoul, among other sustainability efforts.

One visible sign of our sustainability efforts will be seen in how scientific program information is accessed and shared. Once again in 2026, the IBC's mobile application will be the primary source for all scientific programming information and real-time updates. Free wifi is being offered at the COEX, which should help our attendees access the mobile app. And staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist guests who wish to understand the interface better.

The mobile application is expected to be available for download on 29 June, 2026. There is no charge for use of the app. Full instructions for download will be available as soon as the app is open.

While a very limited number of paper programs will be available at the Registration Desk, we ask all those who are able to use the mobile app to use that source for conference information, leaving the paper programs for those who truly need them. In addition, a single large "Schedule at a Glance" sign will be posted near Registration and will display information related to the major events. Volunteers will direct attendees to special sessions or social events where needed. And digital displays will note the current sessions taking place in all session rooms on the 4th and 5th floors.

We are taking many other sustainability measures and we hope that you will join us in supporting the work of the task force. By doing its part, our task force is helping to ensure that the Society is doing what it can to limit our community's environmental footprint. We welcome your questions at ibs@biometricsociety.org.

Preliminary program information will continue to be available at ibc2026.org, though the final program will only be available through the access points mentioned above.
