Poster Presentations and Reception

Join us Monday for our IBC "Poster Session and Reception"!

The International Biometric Society (IBS) is pleased to invite all registrants to join us for a special Poster Session and Reception on Monday, 13 July at the COEX Magok Le West. Join us for a drink and "live" scientific poster presentations from the authors!

Presenting authors are expected to be present at their posters. Also, and following the success of the awards presented at the last IBC, we will again be awarding prizes for the Best Student Oral Presentation(s) and the Best Poster Presentation(s). Your presence at the session will increase your possibility of winning this Best Poster award!

Note to Poster Presenters

The standard size of your poster should be: 841 x 1189 mm, 33.1 × 46.8 in.  (width × height) size (or A0) This is a vertical (portrait) format. All posters must include your Session ID#, Abstract ID#, Presentation Title, Names of Authors, and respective institutions. Poster boards supplied by our local vendor will only accommodate posters of this size.

Need to print your poster? Poster presenters have the opportunity to submit their printing request online through a local vendor in Seoul, with posters delivered directly to the COEX registration desk. No need to ship or carry your poster yourself! This is an optional program. See details below.

Local Poster Printing Details

For those wanting to print a poster in Korea, we have partnered with Foster for seamless printing and delivery.

Just click on the "Foster" link above, select the IBC event if you are new to this system, then select "New" and you can either create an account or proceed with your order as a guest. Fill in your order information, including your poster number (Final ID), and pay the reasonable printing fee. Several payment methods are possible. Poster files must be in JPG, JPEG, or PNG file format.

Upon submitting, you will receive a confirmation email and payment will be collected directly by Foster.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

·       An effective poster is focused on a single message.

·       Posters should be clear and easy to read. Font size should be sufficiently large to allow people to read from two to three meters away. Use plain language, avoid jargon and acronyms. Use an active voice.

·       Use only two or three colors for maximum effect.

·        The presentation must cover the same material as the abstract submitted.

·       Avoid overload! Too much information seriously distracts from the overall impact. Less is best!

·       Profile your work as well as provide an effective summary of your findings. It should be able to stand alone.

·       State your results/conclusions/recommendations in a straightforward manner.

Please ensure conflict of interest disclosure is clearly presented on your poster

·       I have no current or past relationships with commercial entities.

·        I have the following relationships with commercial interests:
